The summer of all summers! Blog #1 of 5000: The Miniers!

If you subscribe to my posts, get ready because there are going to be a number of them coming tonight....like 8 or 9!
With Ronnie having such an unpredicatable summer schedule, we talked about it earlier in the year and decided it would be best for me and the kids to just TRAVEL!  Why not!?

Several times this summer I caught myself saying, (deep sigh) "I really need to post about this trip...", then I moved on to keeping my head above water with life.  NOTHING got posted all summer... but might have something to do with the fact I was on 6 flights from June 10-July 30... with 3/6 with the kids -- WHAAAATT??!!

Also, as I organized all the pictures from this incredible summer it really made me think about how fortunate we are to be able to have the resources to travel like this, the flexibility in our careers to be away from work (I think I worked a full week in the office one time between June and July) and most importantly  -- the awesome family and friends we are blessed to have in all parts of the country that we love and cherish to spend our time with!  We are so  very thankful.

So.. let's get this summer recap started!

June 10th my bags were packed for DC for 3 days to see the Miniers (meeting baby Riley!) and a business trip... then home for less then 10 hours before a 10 days trip to the lake in Iowa!

It was SO MUCH FUN to spend an afternoon with Stephanie, Jimmy, Ellie and Riley!  Riley was the absolute sweetest thing (less then 1 mo. old!) and Ellie getting so big!  Also - Steph and Jimmy moved into their new home last fall, it was absolutely perfect!  Big house for a big family - with a huge yard!  They are all set!

Side note... all of us are heading up mid-September for Riley's baptism and I can't wait for Ronnie and Drew to see the house.  They are gonna LOVE the yard and playing baseball and football outside in the fall!

Beautiful baby Riley!!!

Such a sweet big sis!

Ellie loves her water table!  Good times on the deck with everyone!

Reading books -- "BUBBLES!"

We had a great time catching up and I loved spending time with these fun little nieces of mine!  What a beautiful family Jimmy and Steph have made!  Love you guys XOXO
