July 2017... hard to keep it straight!

Ok - so fasten your seat belt.  July was nuts from the 4th-21th.  Ronnie was gone for 21 nights straight following a couples 40th bday trip to New Orleans...

We got back from a SUPER FUN weekend in NOLA on Sunday, then Ronnie headed north for the Northwoods League (Minnesota, Iowa and North Dakota coverage).  Here he started his 21 nights away trip... but took Drew with him for the first part!  Then transfered him to Aunt Wendy for a few days!

After a 2 hour delay at the airport, 4 hour flight and 2 1/2 hour drive - they made it to the game on time!  #happiness #daddyandme

SLEEEEEEEEEP  I can't believe he out slept Ronnie.....

Next stop - Aunt Wendy's for a few days!  I had a trip booked up to Minneapolis for the Yankees vs Twins game and was going to take him back home with me.  This all worked out perfect - lots of cousin time and even got to spend a couple days with Grandma Lori!

While Drew was up in MN with his dad and cousins, me and Reese were in Florida having a good time of our own.  I think it was the first time since she has been born that I have had almost an entire week with just her.  IT. WAS. AWESOME.  

I got a letter from her preschool that she needed to be in pull-ups when she started.  So.. off to the store I went, figuring it might not be a good idea to try pull-ups for the first time on day one of pre-school.  

Less then 1 week later  -this little sweetie was rocking her pullups, doing pee-pee in the potty all day long and only needing diapers at nap and bed time!  I was in complete shock.  Between a weekend home alone with her and then Ali and Grandma backing me up in the day... we got this done quick!   Teamwork!  

For the record:  1 year, 11 months and 2 weeks!

Next - I was off to MN for the Yankees v Twins game with the Brandts and Thomas'!  But wait -- I got in to Minneapolis and texted my college friend Toni so say hi.... just happened she WAS HAVING HER BABY!  So what does a sorority sister do??? DUH!  We go see the new baby!!!  What a special treat!

unfortunately , Ronnie was SUPER sick (fever, headache, sore throat) so we all went to the game together - but he peeled off early to go back to the room to sleep.  I stayed out with Becks, Bernie and her rents and we had an awesome time!  

30ish years of friendship strong!

The next morning I met Wendy at the airport (I think she probably put about 300 miles on her car for me this summer... again, best sister ever) with Drew.  Him and I flew home together and it was so fun having him to myself!  Ronnie still had another couple weeks in the midwest :(

Then... when we got home we went to pick up Reese and I was able to grab this snapshot..  It absolutely MELTS MY HEART.  They hadn't seen each other for two weeks and it was the biggest most sincere hug filled with love I have ever seen.  

And, we're back in FL!  Next up... Reesie's 2nd birthday!
