We literally went from Halloween, to Ronnie's Birthday, to my Connections Conference, to our 5 year wedding anniversary, to Thanksgiving, to a visit to Dad and Connie in Orlando, to Grandma Lori's 60th Disney party, to the B-Lynk Christmas Party at our home, to Christmas with a visit from the Minier's, to a New Years Party at our house....all within less then 8 weeks. And I just exhaled. I don't know where life went these past 2 months. Happy Halloween, Thanksgiving, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
The kids are growing up so quick -- I just want to hit the pause button to take it all in!
But instead, let's hit rewind and go back to Halloween!
Drew loves the cartoon PJ Masks (took me FOREVER to understand this show (thanks Disney for always making the parents' brain go ...ahhhh... I GET IT!) but basically the characters are kids that turn in to super heros at night ("PJ") and they have these masks and costumes that they transform in to ("Mask"). Ahhhaaa, right?!
So this year Drew was Cat Boy from the show and Reese was Luna Girl. Halloween has always been one of Drew's favorites because he loves the decorations in the neighborhood and the "spooky" stuff.. even though he is scared of his own shadow. We have lots of fun with it and this year was no exception!
It was also super fun this year because we had MULTIPLE parties/events to go to so we really go the bang for our buck with the costumes!
Event #1: Halloween Party at Hunter's Green Country Club
These kids were ready to rock!
That following weekend we went to a neighborhood party with a piñata and lots of super fun stuff for the kids! Ronnie was out of town so I threw the kids in the double stroller and we cruised over to the party!
And then the big night -- OCTOBER 31st! We have such a great neighborhood and fun tradition of rotating the driveway we start on by having pizza for the kids then heading out in a giant kid-heard to trick or treat, Grandma and Grandpa Merrill always join in the fun too! We really are blessed to have landed in such an awesome place.
Also, as part of this tradition -- the parents get dressed up too! This year mommy was a cop, daddy a jail bird and the kids in their PJMasks. SO FUN!
