Drew turns 4 - the "Birthday Palooza!"

Turning 4 sure is a big deal!  Not only is this guy getting to be such a big kid -- new birthday "to-dos' have arrived on the list... like treats to bring for pre-school, tball practice, family birthday parties and friend/neighborhood birthday parties and of course trips to DISNEY!  It was quite the BIRTHDAY WEEK for Drew!

It started the day before his birthday when he got to bring homeade treats to school!  He couldn't wait to have a party with his friends -- we brought super hero cake pops and they were a hit!

Then that evening after school we had tball practice -- so OF COURSE we had to bring treats for all his baseball buddies (and their sibblings :-) ... cake pops it was again and the team was happy!  This mom is definetly not a pinterest perfect treat making mom -- but I did master cake pops a few years ago - many thanks to my DZ friend Toni (Kirby) Scott... they are my go-to!

The next day was Drew's real birthday where he found his new "Green Machine" waiting for him in the living room when he woke up!  Drew's frist bike and it was a hit!  He rode it around the house that morning then got to take a spin outside, he did a great job!

Next up - as if getting a new bike on your birthday isn't exciting enough... we surprised the birthday boy with a day trip to Disney!  Reese stayed home with grandma and grandpa, Drew was so exited to spend the entire day with mom and dad.  We all had an awesome time doing all the things that Drew likes to do most at Disney (like the race cars, Dumbo, Buzz and the Pooh Pots ;-)  hahaha...)
This was one happy 4 yr old!

Next up -- GRANDMA LORI!  The day ofter Drew's actual birthday, Grandma Lori arrived!  Drew was super excited to spend some time with her over the weekend.  He let her help make the homeade angel food cake for his birthday!  Reese wanted to join in the fun too by licking the beaters :-)

After getting the cake ready for the family celebration - we had to head to the park to show grandma Lori some of our baseball skills and how good we can ride our bike!
Time to open presents from the family!

Don't forget about me, mom!  I am here at the party too, says Reese.  We were all decked out in our ISU gear because the Cyclones were playing their second round NCAA tournament game that night!  So much fun to get to watch it with Grandma Lori!

Grandma and Grandpa Merrill were pretty good sports about hanging with us Cyclone fans!

Grand Finale of Drew's Birthday Palooza was a party at the TAC park followed by some waterballoon smashing!
Drew and Gradie - our buddie that lives just two doors down!
Spiderman legos- so fun!

Walking with Grandma... and our rainboots!
