Football playoffs, Pirate Parties, Pigtails, Perfect Weather -- AND RAH RAH!

January and February in Florida often remind me why I moved here almost 11 years ago!  The weather is just beautiful and seems like by mid-Feb that spring is already in the air.  In fact - the high temps this week are in the low 80's ... so perhaps we are just going to jump straight to summer.

Anywho...Reese is sure growing up -- saying new words every day and becoming quite the little copy cat of her big brother.  She wants to do everything he does and just like he does it.

Favorite words:
Yeah, Yes, No, Go!, Pizza, What (water), cook (cookie), hot dog, night night.

Some pics for the past 6 weeks of so.......

Reese was the life of the party at one of our friends Steeler's playoff parties.  She loves chips!

Perfect day for an apple picnic!
This girl loves her (well actually Drew's) jeep - one thing we have learned in the past couple months is that this girl can have quite the attitude when she wants something.  Doesn't take no for an answer!
This year I set a goal for myself to take Friday off from working so I could spend more time with the kids.  Considering I am running a decent sized business now - that is not the easy task!  Takes lots of organization, planning and understanding of priorities to make it happen.

I think year to date - I'm probably at about 50%... but it's best effort and I love my the time I get with them but also love growing my business so something has to give for us to have it all!

Took the kiddos and a neighbor friend to Chucky-Cheese on Friday....yes, I was temporarty insance that day, but have since recovered :-)
Oh Drew - you are such a good helper and big brother!
The catcher needed to eat some lunch!
January and February were also filled with some gourmet meals by mom.... NOT!  look at this spread of leftovers!  It's like a leftover buffet - FANCY! Hahahah.
Gasparrilla a festival held each January into February in Tampa.  It consists of multiple parades, races, art festivals... you name it.  But the Kid's Parade is one of our favorite things to do in the winter!  We have some friends that live right on the parade route and have a super fun kids party (and pretty fun for the adults) each year.  Many thanks to Amber and Jack for alwasy throwing such a fun party for the kids!
Gasparilla Bound!

This punky little pirate found some fun!

Friends Lea (who introduced Ronnie and I 6 years ago) and Shayna and Amber -- great times had by all!

Come and get me, mom!

Spring is here and so are the cute sleevelss rompers!  Thanks Aunt Wendy for this Christmas present - it's one of our favorite outfies of all time!

Two little peas in a pod.
We also had some pretty cool guests come down to visit -- Aunt Rah Rah and Uncle Harry!  They drove down from Atlanta early February and stayed at our house a night, then we all headed out to the BEACH (minus daddy -- he was working :( . !  It was seriouslly PERFECT weather and a fantastic weekend!

I didn't even think of it... but Drew was SO impressed with Harry's fast car -- it's a live version of Lightning McQueen!  Harry was like a celebrity to Drew - it was the cutest thing ever!  He sat in the front seat and was speachless when Harry reved up the engine!
Princess and a Princess

VROOOM VROOM!!!!
On Saturday morning we went out to Clearwater and stayed at a Hilton property - it was the best set up ever for us!  Kid pool (no one else there) right on the beach.  We all learned that Reese is going to be quite the fish and has ZERO fear.  She was floating all around the pool with her floaties on all by herself, and then jumping fearlessly into the pool to us.  She is so fun!

This is the life.....
We all know that Drew loves the beach!  Give that kid a shovel and his imagination runs wild.  Him and Reese were digging to China :-)
It's so much fun to see them playing together and really just being so independent.  We had a blast all afternoon!

Chicken finger and fried in a sandbucket?  Yes please!

LOVE.

These two.
Now on to pigtails... Titi is the best hair stylist I know and didn't hesitate to get Reese's hair up in piggies last weekend!  So adorable.  I just want her to have in pigtails all day every day.

This time of year is also great for getting out and running!  This is me and my neighbor Christy -- we have known each other for almost 5 years now and have been running together for the past 4...we are those crazy moms up at 5:45am on week days, but we love it!!

This morning (8am on the weekends :-) we took the little girls out for a jog in the gorgeous weather!

I hope this sends some sunshine to everyone reading wherever you are!
