Reese's Baptism-a special day

On December 6th 2015 we celebrated Reese and her becoming a Child of God! The baptism was held at St. Mark's Evangelical Church in Tampa, FL where we are members.

Baptism is a beautiful sacrament and reminds us that we are incredibaly blessed to have a savior that forgives our sins and provides us with the strength and courage we need to live a glorious life on this earth and the promise of eternal life in Heaven.  Bringing Reese into His Kingdom is something as parents we do with open arms.  It was an honor!

It was also special because Grandma Lori and Frank were here and able to celebrate with us.  The baptism was on Saturday morning, and they arrived Friday evening for a long weekend.  Frank was a little banged up this year, mending from a torn ACL earlier in the year and some knee issues (MCL and abone bruise).  But he was such a trooper and even managed to golf a round with Ronnie!  He iced his knee often and coined a new fun phrase for Drew -- "I've got peas on my knees!"  Haha.

Grandma Lori and Reese before we went to the church

Such a little angel in her Christening gown :-)

Earlier this year our new church was finished - it is beautiful - seats over 1,000 people!  A little bigger than the church I grew up in (haha, in fact the almost the entire town town of Holstein would fit), but our family at St. Mark's has treated us very well and we have enjoyed being a part of it.

Love these two so much.

Stephanie and Jimmy are Reese's Godparents and were unable to attend.  We saw them over Thanksgiving and they were with us in spirit during the baptism!

Raquel (Titi Raquel) was the proxy for the godparents and it was also very special that she could be there.  She has been there for the birth of both of our kids, has been involved in both of their lives and we all love her so!

Some very proud and happy parents

I love that everyone gets to stand up with us!

Of course this little angle baby didn't even cry!

After the ceremony we went back to the house for casual brunch and cake.  It was great to just spend some time together.
Playing ball with Grandma Lori

Watching some football with Frank!  She is such a good girl when we take her out

Looks like such a big boy here!  Enjoying the firepit at the club

Out for a family walk with Grandma!

yep - I can do the bumbo chair!

Big smiles with Grandma before she leaves - love you grandma!

It was a beautiful weekend and one we will always remember.  We love you Reese-Pieces and welcome to God's family!
