| First attempt..... #FAIL |
Weight: 9 lbs 13 oz. She gained 2 1/2 lbs from month one to month two...but I think it was actually a little more because our "two month" appointment was right at 8 weeks, one more week would have actually been her two month birthday. SHE IS A CHUNKER!
Height: 23 1/2 inches. TALL!
Eyes: Still blue!
Hair: Blonde fuzz! It's starting to fall out so she just has some longer pieces on the very top :-)
Sleeping habits:
This angel baby is a sleeper! She goes down between 10-10:30pm, and sleeps straight until 5, sometimes 6! She eats, then back to sleep for another three hours. So all in all - it's about a 12 hour sleep fest with one feeding. CRAZY! Once she gets her big sleeps in, she is pretty awake during the day (eating lots). She takes 20-40min. catnaps most of the afternoon. She is so predictable right now, it's great!
Favorite things to do:
- Laying on her play matt and looking up at her toys
- Watching her big brother run around! She just recently started doing this and she can't take her eyes off of him. It's so cute.
- Walking around with mom in the baby carrier. Drew didn't really care for this thing - but she LOVES it.
- Double Bob stroller rides with her brother.
- Sit in her bouncy chair and laugh! There are moments when I really think she might say something -- she gets smiling and laughing so much it seems like she is going to talk!
Things she has learned
- She can hold her head up VERY high and loves to look around.
- No rolls yet (except for the ones under her chin ;-), but I would expect it won't be long before she goes from her belly to her back. She is active!
Things mommy has learned:
Well, mommy went back to work at 9 weeks and I have a new appreciation for the freedom I have with my job. I leave here between 8:30-9am and leave the office between 4-4:30. I rush home for my little ones and love the evenings with them.
I also learned that having a two month old and a 2 1/2 year old at home by yourself it NOT EASY! Ronnie just landed the full-time job with the Yankees (YAY, we are so excited) and has been traveling a little bit this fall. So working, then coming home to tackle dinner, bath and bed (plus I am nursing) is not an easy task...either is the morning with feedings, getting ready for work, breakfast and don't forget to take out the dog! Needless to say, I also have a new appreciation for daddy! I get very excited when he is on his way home :-)
Also many thanks to Ron and Cathy - they are always there to help. We are so fortunate to have them nearby along with our part-time nanny Steph... we have a great team!
Here are some fun pics from the month! Good times at the Merrill House!
