When home during our "extended stay" in Iowa over Christmas during the blizzard, me mom and Wendy got a wild idea to take a Disney Cruise this spring!
This is Ronnie's busy season so I knew he wouldn't be able to go but I thought maybe I could pull it off and just take Drew..... And after checking with the "super grandma parents" - aka Ron and Cathy (Cathy seriously should have a cape) thatvtheyvcould keep Reese we booked!
They great part about this vacation was that we didn't have to fly anywhere. Grandma LORI flew in to Tampa the night before the cruise so she could see Reese, then we jumped in the car on Friday and picked up the Webers in Orlando. Then off to the port!
Side story....I was at work the day mom fly in when Ronnie called to say Drew got sick at school and was throwing up. First time ever he had thrown up...and he did it ALL DAY. I was so worried we wouldn't be able to go but this little trooper woke up the next morning ready to see his cousins and CRUISE! He was so excited - we had talking about every day for about a month (and I was using it as a threat for potty training purposes... Worked pretty good!)
Grandma LORI getting some time with Reesie before we left. Reese is so much fun!
great pic of these three!
We had to leave the house about 7, and had to wake drew up. He snoozed pretty good in the car on the way!
let the fun begin!
"Hey mom - I've got my ticket!"
And we are on the big big cruise ship!
First stop once we boarded this AMAZING boat was the pool (and of course a big fruity drink!)
Cousins are taking over the pool!
Drew isn't a big fan of the characters... In fact he hates them. He gets so scared! But we TRIED to see chip and dale.... And this picture was taken at the Disney Vacation club private party. Mom bought in to the club last year so taking advantage of some of the cool perks!
The ship didn't sail until 4pm (we were onboard at the pool by 11AM ;-) -- here is a pic of me and my little man as we pushed off the dock!
Our room had a porthole... Precious.
Splash pad with a water slide??? Sweet!
So they play Disney movies on the top deck by the pool all day and it's so cool because the kids will play, play play then you will catch them stopping to watch. I actually got freaked out because drew went up to go down the slide and had been up there FOREVER... I didn't know what was taking so long but when I walked up to check on him I found him in the platform locked in to Brave. Lol
Putt-Putt golf?! Yes please! Drew was obsessed with the sport area of the boat. In fact we made a big mistake of showing him the golf before we ate dinner and the entire dinner he was begging to go. #dontteasethem
Golfin' with grandma!
Our first stop on this 3 day cruise was the Bahamas - we pulled up about 8am. However we stayed on the boat that day and enjoyed the pool and slides for the kids!

you can see the beautiful Atlantis in the background.
Me and mr. Selfie taking a pic! Love this happy little guy!
"Hey grandma - get in here and let's all wear our sunglasses!"
In heaven golfing with Ethan.
ping pong too! This was his first time playing ping pong --- of course he loved it!
Basketball hoops up there too... He and Ethan were in there with the big boys!
Dinner time with some
Silly pirates! Arrrr! This cruise was all about a Disney pirate theme and so much fun since drew is all in to Jake!
Another silly pirate!
Captain Hook and mr sme!
After dinner we went to the show - these little pirates needed some popcorn (grandma didn't argue!)
Pulling up to disneys private island - cast away cay! This was our stop for day 2.
Uncle brad and E posing on our way to the beach!
We played lots of fun games and built cool castles in the beach all day :-). Drew had to show the Weber boys how it is done... But didn't take long for these two to catch on!
Ice cream cones at the beach are such a fun treat!
Drew loooooooves him some chocolate milk! B
Shot of the boat from our spot on the beach... And you can't reallybtellnfr this pic but there were two giant water slides in the water and of course our little dare devil 3 yr lids wanted to do them! They were so much fun!
Time for our last dinner -- drews favorite part about dinner was define toy not the food --- he loved Clyde the waitor because he did magic tricks!
Then after dinner it was time to burn that last little bit of energy they had...
Let's get grandma in this one!
We sure missed daddy and Resse but had such a fun special time in this trip with Drew. He loves hanging with his cousins and that makes me so happy!
