10 month old little munchkin!

Stats 'n' Stuff:

Weight:  23lbs - ish...

Height:  30+ inches

Hair: So incredibly blonde and has some pretty curls in the back.  Not long enough on top for a barrette, but close!

The Schedule:

7:30-8am -- We are up for the day!
Between 8-9 east some breakfast (could be pancakes, french toast, waffles, banana or whatever her brother is having!
Sometime before noon she will eat an 8 oz bottle,, and take a nap.  Nap duration is completely unpredictable - could be 30 minutes, could be 2 hours!
Around 12-1, she will eat either baby cereal, fruit or whatever people food is around
In the afternoon she'll slam another 8 oz. bottle and take another nap.  Again - you never know how long these naps are going to be.
6-6:30 is dinner and this is where she CRUSHES some real food!  She just loves everything and there have been several nighs where she has ate more then Drew!  She has tried macaroni, ground beef, shredded pork, strawberries, watermelon, banana, peas, avacado, broccoli, sweet potatoes, tator tots - the list goes on...
8pm - 8 oz. bottle and night night Reesie Piecie!
She will sleep until about 6, then have another 6-8 oz and back to sleep until 7:30 or so.

new stuff:

We have a little fishie on our hands!  The Merrill Pool officially opened on May 14th  - she got in her float for the first time and started kicking and floating all around.  Of course she loves to watch Drew and all of his tricks but she also loves to splash the water in her own face  - it's hysterical.  I don't know what I would do if my kids didn't like the water!

Also, she pulls up on EVERYTHING, is interested in the stairs, loves waving bye-bye and the best new thing she is doing is LAUGHING!  She loves to giggle - and sometimes for absolutely no apparent reason.  We will just be driving down the road and she starts laughing.  She LOVES watching Drew and he can get her to laugh on demand... all he has to do is laugh and she will laugh too.  We'll even say "Drew - make Reesie laugh" and he does it :-)

She loves everything Drew does - if he puts down a toy, she crawls over to get it.  If he's eating an apple, she comes over and wants a bite.

Another favorite new thing this month is that she started saying "Drew" -- it's the cutest thing ever.  She will see him or hear him and go "Dwu-Dwu-Dwu" -- it's always multiple times.  So so cute!

Favorite things to do:
Watching Drew, laughing, EATING!

Things she does NOT like to do:
She hates getting dressed/diaper changed/anything that requires her to lay still for 2 minutes!  She is so strong that I have started changing her diapers and getting her dressed on the floor because I'm afraid she will fall off the changer when she does one of her big spin moves.

Things mommy has learned:

I've learned that carrying around a 23 lber and chasing around an active 3 yr. old is exhausting.  My arms and back ache after a weekend when Ronnie is gone.  Callgon take me away!!!!!!

I have also learned that I love this girl and her fun, spunky yet sweet personality more and more everyday.  Whenever someone meets her for the first time they say "She is just so happy" -- and they are so right.  She is such a happy girl and such an amazing blessing in our lives.

9 month chunky monkey

They say that with the second it's harder to keep up with the baby book (for me, that is my blog) and that proved very true when I realized that when I saw down to write Reese's 9 mo. post that I forgot to do her 8th!  AAAHH!

Stats 'n' Stuff:

Weight:  22 lbs (2 + lbs bigger than her brother was!) 92 percentile

Height:  29 1/2 inches (1 in. shorter than her brother was) 98 percentile

This juicy and delicious girl is almost off the charts!

Hair: White blonde and really coming in!

Sleeping habits:
 - Daytime   This little princess takes a late morning nap (most days) and an afternoon nap (most days).  She is usually a good napper from Grandma Merrill in the afternoon, giving her a good break on the days she has her!

new stuff:
This girl is ON.THE.MOVE!  She has two crawling speeds:  Fast and Extra Fast!  I have actually seen her kick it into extra fast gear by bouncing on her knees for about 3 bounces, then OFF she goes.  It's awesome.

She pulls up on everything and everyone - it might be long and this little angel baby will be walking around.

She also started doing patty cake!  She is so happy when she does it - just smiles and makes sure everyone is watching her.

Teething... oh, yes, teething.  She got two big teeth in this month and had a rough weekend when Grandpa Butcher and Connie where hereShe got a fever and everything - poor sweety :(

Favorite things to do:
Follow her brother around!  She is so happy when he is in the room - she is either crawling and following him, or watching him like a hawk!

Things she does NOT like to do:
Don't tease her with her food!  The second she sees that bottle or dish or food you better be ready to give it to her or she will put up a fight!

Things she has learned

She has started to learn "no" - getting in to things like Sammy's food and water ;-) and she learned Patty cake!  I've also noticed that when Drew starts counting she looks up and pays attention... I think if she could talk she might be able to count to three... hahahaha!
Things mommy has learned:

I am defintely starting to see the girl vs. boy thing come in to play1 Reese is so much calmer and less destructive than Drew was at this age!  Drew would get in to the kitchen cabinets and just start throwing and banging things around - while Reese on the other hand, gently grabs a pan and flinches when it makes noise on the floor.  Too cute!
