So what is new with Drew?! At 17 months there is LOTS going on. This is one busy guy.
From his new vocabulary (a translation able will be included at the end of this post :-), his new climbing skills, dog walking skills and his love for the "poooo" (pool) - we have lots to report!
First of all - this kid is fast. I turn my back for a second and he's on top of furniture, putting anything and everything in his mouth or dumping Sammy's water on the floor. You can't take your eye off of him!

Look mom - I got up here all by myself!
Drew loves to walk Sammy after dinner. we head out on our little adventure almost every night. we are on the hunt for the "meow" (neighborhood kitty cat) or Lyla - the 3 yr old neighbor girl that Drew has a crush on. He insists on holding the leash and if we see any neighbors on our walk he wants to walk their dogs too!
Drew has also made an appearance or two at mommy's office this summer.

"Hello - thank you for calling B-Lynk. my mommy is busy can I take a message?"
He also found our sound booth. This is where our voice over contractors come in and record for the tutorials we create. The foam walls and the big microphone got his attention... it was a matter of seconds before he was up on the chair with the headphones...

"Hey mom - can you be quiet out there? I have work to do!"
Not only does Drew love our backyard pool - he also loves swimming with the neighborhood girls (this is Mia and Lyla) in the $10 blow up pool in the front yard. His bud Hunter is in the yellow and trying to jump in the pool with Drew and Lucas is in the back on his mommy's lap. We call our little 'hood' the HOG (Hampton on the Green) and we do love our neighbors. This crew has lots of fun together and will be lots of trouble one day!

The ladies like my belly...
I can't get over how big Drew looks at night when we go in and check on him sleeping. He's about 27 lbs and I swear he looks 3 yrs old in this pic. He is SO BIG!
Ronnie played in a summer bball league and Drew and I went out to watch Daddy. I love this picture. One of my all time favorites. He really was watching Daddy - he loved the sound of the ball bouncing, the whistles and the squeaky shoes. He also had a close eye on the sweat mop that you can see in the distance propped up against the wall. (yes, he is still obsessed with brooms).

More walks with Sammy! They are best buddies. I think Sam only tolerates him because Drew gives him lots of food... it's a love hate relationship :- )

BEEP BEEP! |
Mr. Clean! A day doesn't go by that he doesn't go get his Swiffer out... he loves pushing this thing around!
We also discovered the shower squeegee... and now we like to squeegee everything down in the bathroom. The floors, the cabinets, the glass.. you name it, we squeegee it.
Also funny story about the morning I took this picture... Ronnie was gone and Drew and I had tons of errands to run... and mommy needed a shower. So I decided take off his diaper and just bring him in with me. All was going well (he was of course squeegeeing everything in the shower) when all of a sudden I noticed 4 little surprises on the floor! HE POOPPED! Yes. he really did this in the shower. #nexttimeputonaswimdiaper Needless to say, this picture was taken AFTER the showering pooping event -- he got a diaper on that little butt ASAP!
My all time favorite thing that Drew has done is learn to say "PEES" -- and he isn't talking about the veggie.. he is asking for something very politely (please!). HOWEVER -- he uses this to his advantage quite often and mommy has a tough time saying no sometimes!
Along with "PEES" he also has found a love for M&Ms (just like his mom). He calls them "M's" ... and when he says "M - PEEEEES" and points to the candy dish it literally melts my heart. Oh.. and he puts his hands up above his chin (pictured below) every time he does it. He is the cutest begger I have ever seen.
