Hola, everyone! Yes (si), that is my Spanish greeting for this post! We just returned from Puerto Rico...it was an aweseome trip!
For those of you that don't know, Ronnie recently changed jobs, moving from the SF Giants to TB Rays - super exciting news for us since it's with the hometown team (which means we get ticket to all the games!), his new scouting area is a little closer to home and the people at the Rays are great. All good stuff - EXCEPT that we didn't get to go to the World Series this year because he took the job 2 days before the Giants clinched the National League title.
However.....shortly after he accepted the postion, he was informed that he needed to be in Puerto Rico to scout some players in a showcase the weekend of our 1 yr. anniversary. We had already made reservations to stay out at the SandPearl where we got married last year and were looking forward to the celebration and bummed it may not work out as we had planned. However, after talking about all the options and alternate dates we could celebrate, Ronnie's new boss suggested that I just come along to PR! I was all in!
We stayed at the La Concha - an awesome resort right on the beach. Ronnie had to work, but I didn't have any problems relaxing while he was at the ballpark :-)
Our actual anniversary is on the 19th (today!), but since we traveled back today we decided to celebarte last night. There was this really cool restaraunt called Perla that was in the shape of a HUGE pearl shell. This is the view of it from the beach.. it originally opened in 1958 and it a pretty historic restaraunt on the island:
And the view from the top.. it really did look like a ginormous shell!
We had a great dinner - here is a pic of us and my BUMP inside the big shell! I had several perfect stangers walk up to me this weekend and say "Congrats - when are you due?" ... so, I think the BUMP has officially popped!
I can't believe it's been a year since our wedding - time really does fly! It has been a GREAT year - we are so fortunate to have each other, such great families and the blessing of little one on the way.
OTHER NOVEMBER HAPPENINGS....
1. Our first Tampa Bay Bucs game this season. An old roomate of mine from Disney recently moved to Tampa and is married to the guy the Bucs just hired to run all of their ticket sales. She gets 4 club level tickets to each game and her husband is in one of the suites with prospective clients. She invited us to use her tickets AND we were able to go up to the suite! Great food and drinks, in the AC and amazing view. I feel a little spoiled - I don't think a football game will ever be the same! Here is a pic from the suite:
Also this month we celebrated Ronnie's birthday! Had a great night out...enjoying our time together before baby gets here!
Hope everyone has a safe and Happy Thanksgiving! We are so very thankful for all of the wonderful things that have happened this year!
